Winter Pennant No. 1 starts Mon. 17 May. PRE-PIE NITE on Thursday 13 May.Finishes W/B Mon. 28 June.
JUNE
Winter pennant No. 2 entries on Board now. Start W/B Mon 19 July for about 8 weeks.
AYC AGM @ Shoreline Hotel on Mon. 21st. June for Captains.
AYC suggested changes to Roster for 2010/2011 include
1. Teams of 4 people (Male or Female),as opposed to 6.
2. Each team in one Grade to nominate only 2 playing nights.
3. Some to start @ 6:30pm.
4. Split long Roster into 2x 10 weeks. eg. Pre Xmas 10 weeks with 2 Finals (1v4,2v3, then winners & Losers)
!0 weeks after Xmas up to Easter with NO Finals. or one week of Finals eg. 1v2; 3v4; 5v6:

HITTING WALL
The "bumping" wall has been built and the pathways and surrounds have been upgraded. The wall has now been rendered, and painted.
Thanks to Friday Group a new rotisserie gas BBQ has been installed.Key & gas are accessable from the Clubrooms.
The Club welcomes TONY BLOM as Development Coach supporting our Advanced Coach Andrew McCormack in developing player skills at GBTC.

The Club is having a drive to increase our MEMBERSHIP now our facilities have been upgraded. Why not bring along a friend or two for a social hit to sell our Club to them?Our Club has invited members of the Lindisfarne Tennis Club to join in our Winter Pennant and to enjoy a social hit with Members on our Social days.
Our Juniors have instigated a suuccessful junior social tennis on Sunday afternoons (2-5pm) and welcome all children wanting to have a hit. Junior Pennant is played on Friday evenings during school terms 1 & 3, providing a competative team challenge.
A HISTORY of the Club has been researched and produced by Chris McKenzie, and can now be downloaded from the MENU on this Website.
The Club PENNANTS that were hung in the Clubhouse,have now been stored in folders @ the Clubrooms, and have also been put on the PENNANTS data base in the MENU of this website, and members can now call up / search / print pennants of interest.Any member who has a pennant to add contact the Secretary.
The AUSTRALIAN MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS are coming to Hobart in Jan.(18-29)2010 with games to be played at GBTC.Your chance to see some great tennis, and volunteer for a day!
